Senior SyncoZymes leaders visited Australia as the companies build on the success of CellVive NMN® and explore the next generation of cellular health technologies.
Longevity Life Sciences recently welcomed Mr Minghua Zhou, Chairman of SyncoZymes, and senior members of the SyncoZymes team to Australia for a program of strategic meetings across Melbourne and Sydney.
The visit marked an important next chapter in a partnership that has helped establish CellVive NMN® within Australia’s regulated complementary medicines market.
Mr Zhou brings decades of experience in pharmaceutical entrepreneurship and manufacturing.
He is a co-founder of Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceutical, a pharmaceutical company founded in 1989 and subsequently listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2003. Forbes also independently identifies Minghua Zhou as a co-founder of Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceutical.
Mr Zhou subsequently became Chairman of SyncoZymes, building on that pharmaceutical background in a biotechnology business focused on enzymes, coenzymes, biocatalysis and related manufacturing technologies.
SyncoZymes operates across biological enzymes, coenzymes, pharmaceutical intermediates and active ingredients. Its public technical material describes an enzyme library of more than 10,000 enzymes used across multiple biotransformation applications.
SyncoZymes also operates dedicated research and manufacturing infrastructure in China. Its Shanghai R&D centre includes equipment supporting gene amplification, high-throughput screening, protein purification and fermentation, while its Zhejiang production operation manufactures biological enzymes and coenzymes including NMN, NAD, NADH and NADP.
The company has publicly reported the development of annual manufacturing capacity of up to 100 tonnes across its NMN/NADH/NAD coenzyme series.
SyncoZymes is the biotechnology manufacturing partner behind CellVive NMN®. Australia’s TGA regulatory material provides unusually strong independent verification of this relationship: the TGA specifically identifies SyncoZymes (Shanghai) Co Ltd as the primary sponsor associated with the permitted NMN ingredient during the applicable exclusivity period.
The TGA compositional guideline also specifies that the permitted NMN ingredient is manufactured through an enzymatic synthetic process and sets detailed identity, purity and impurity requirements for the ingredient used in Listed Medicines.
During the Australian visit, the LLS and SyncoZymes teams reviewed the progress of CellVive NMN®, met with Australian commercial and industry partners and advanced discussions around future cellular health ingredients, manufacturing technologies and international market opportunities.
The relationship is now evolving beyond a single ingredient.
Together, Longevity Life Sciences and SyncoZymes are exploring how advances in enzymatic biotechnology and biomanufacturing can support the next generation of the CellVive® platform.
